Dylan’s autistic journey has already impacted several lives within his community. With his adorable character, he very easily is able to communicate love without words. Jake is a sweet, happy, inquisitive, energetic, non-speaker with autism. From a very early age he was obsessed with numbers and letters, and he continues to amaze us with what he understands and remembers through the use of his AAC device. I am always so curious as to what he’s thinking, singing, drawing; what makes him excited, happy, giggly, or sad. My hope is by becoming a speller, he will be able to share those things with us. To me, he’s like Jack Jack in The Incredibles before his super powers are revealed - he has gifts to share with the world and we just don’t know what they are yet. Grateful to be on this journey to spelling! —Mom for Jake Richard

Lane has amazed us this past year at Transcending Apraxia with his spelling abilities. He's a sweet, lovable teen with Phelan McDermid Syndrome who's been stuck with limited communication since regression at age 5. As much as he may have appreciated skating along with few expectations at school, the presumed competence at Transcending Apraxia is opening up new worlds for Lane. We anticipate big things as Lane moves past S2C learning plateaus—now to get more accuracy spelling with these great lessons! —Mom for Lane Henton
